This was my 20th year as serving as the NJTL Committee Chairman of the Arthur Ashe Essay Contest. Each year, I am amazed by the ten winners, their dreams and achievements. In 2018 Indianapolis had a 14 and under boy’s winner from Perry Meridian High School, Isaac Liam, whose parents were born in Burma. Isaac played in the Jack Bradshaw NJTL Student-Athlete Program at Marian University and played #3 singles or #1 doubles for Perry Meridian this Fall. I am very proud to have founded the NJTL of Indianapolis and extremely proud of Isaac Liam’s accomplishments.
