ICTP Midwest Closed Success

Wow!  Our program players have achieved great success during the Midwest Closed.

Today we have a doubles player in each doubles finals in both the Girls and Boys 18, 16, and 14 divisions.  Amazing!  Good luck to them!

We will see everyone July 5th.  Be careful on the 4th!

ICTP Extreme Junior Success

We are celebrating extreme Junior success results for the CITA Midwest Qualifier.  Sixty-seven of the 104 CITA Qualifiers are ICTP players, as are 24 of the 34 Cup team members.

Wishing them the best of luck in upcoming competition!  We are so proud!

Tennis Tip Tuesday #3

Vision is very important when it comes to executing various shots.  Topspin is ideal when the ball is turning over.  Flat shots are best when the ball is at it’s peak, and slice is best performed when the ball is on the rise.

Tennis Tip Tuesday #2

One of the best ways to add topspin to your shots is to relax your arm.  By allowing your racquet to drop below the height of the ball, you can successfully brush up on the ball.

No Alternate HP 4-6 Today

There will not be an alternate High Performance today from 4-6 for those players still in school as the coaches will be paying their respects for Coach Holmes.  Thank you for your understanding.

USTA / Midwest College Showcase

The USTA is hosting a College Showcase at the Barbara S. Wynne Tennis Center on June 24th for all high school prospective student-athletes who are interested in learning more about the college recruiting process.

There will be an information forum in addition to an opportunity to participate on court with college coaches.  It’s a great opportunity to find the school best suited for you and your tennis and academic goals.
