Tips to Beat the Heat
Drink water before coming to tennis and drink water constantly during your drills and competitions. Make certain you have a large jug of water!
Determine the movement of wind and constantly put your face toward the moving air and call it “air conditioning.” It can really cool you off. Make certain you seek shade whenever possible and wear a HAT! Some players are relieved by soaking a bandana in ice water and wearing it around their neck.
If you get a headache, you should get out of the sun immediately. Always tell your coach why you are leaving the court or if you need assistance. Have a healthy summer and remember to apply sun screen every two hours in full sun.
Riley Children’s Foundation Red Ball Round Robin Tomorrow!
Riley Children’s Foundation Red Ball Round Robin tomorrow, June 20th from 3:30-5:00 pm.
Meet on the mini courts and have fun playing singles! Next Wednesday, June 27th, we will have a doubles only red ball round robin. Bring a friend to play. $10/player for doubles all payable to Riley Children’s Foundation. BB will have trophies for the winners. Remember to have fun.
Red Ball Tournament Updates
Our Wednesday Red Ball round robins are off to a great start! A reminder that make ups for rained out round robins will be held on Thursdays. We have added a Red Ball tournament Wednesday, June 20th from 3:30-5:00 pm. This tournament is doubles only and $10/player payable to Riley Children’s Memorial Foundation. Sunday Youth Tennis
Sixty players met at North Central on April 8, 2018 to kick off the Sunday Youth Team Tennis classes. Class meets again this Sunday, March 15th
on court from 3-4:15 pm to learn more strokes and to enjoy hitting more tennis balls.

2017 College Showcase
April 10th Tennis Program very successful All participants played one hour on outdoor courts and learned forehands and backhands.
Please come next Sunday at 2:45 pm to have groups adjusted….more teachers coming. April 17th, we will review and learn to put forehands and backhand together with volleys. Hope for warm weather! Love you, BB
